Cupcakes and Tea with Jacqueline Whitmore
A few weeks ago I visited my friend Jacqueline Whitmore, who is an internationally renowned etiquette expert and author. She is an in-demand public speaking professional as well. In fact, I first met Jacqueline when she spoke about business etiquette at a meeting of the Domestic Estate Managers Association (DEMA) that I attended. Lucky for me, she lives fairly close by here in Palm Beach.
We met for tea time at her home. As you can see, her tea set is absolutely beautiful! And the plates was from her mother’s antique Royal Doulton. I brought my wife’s delicious cupcakes to share. My wife is a wonderful cook and baker! Her cupcakes and cakes are always beautiful as well as mouth-watering. She made both strawberry and chocolate with marshmallow for the occasion, and Jacqueline and I wound up enjoying the chocolate ones.
I was slightly nervous before my arrival, but she is such a warm and friendly person that I forget my fears as soon as I am around her. She was very interested in my new book and asked several questions. I am incredibly excited about its upcoming release, so I had no problem discussing it with her!
Speaking of books, I also brought along two copies of Jacqueline’s book Poised for Success: Mastering the Four Qualities That Distinguish Outstanding Professional. She was kind enough to autograph one for me and the other for my daughter, who is currently a college student majoring in business and engineering . As you may have guessed from the napkin fold in the background, I took these photographs in my home.
I highly recommend Poised for Success for businesspeople as well as anyone who wants to learn helpful tips and tricks on how to be more courteous and improve their behavior. She is an expert in her field as well as a kind and generous person.

I am so ready for my book. Maybe next time. I ‘ll photograph our books together side by side :-) Thank you again.
Really enjoyed reading about your visit with Jacqueline. The table setting was lovely and the cupcakes
look delicious. I look forward to obtaining your book on “Napkins” – I need a lot of coaching on that subject. Congratulations on your book!
Dear Patsy,
Thank you for your lovely comment. You will be very happy with the book. It’s very easy to follow step-by step napkin folding instructions and also 12 beautiful inspiration table settings.
Jimmy your cupcakes look delightful and I know the company you had was too! I first met Jacqueline in 2001 (I think) at one of her business etiquette seminars in Palm Beach and I could tell from the first meeting she is as warm and pretty on the inside as she is the out! I will look forward to getting your book when published and Jacqueline I hope our paths will cross again one day. I am in Bowling Green, KY (my home town) and have continued on the path of helping all young people get the 21st century skills and training they all need to be successul and productive citizens as they mature.
Enjoyed the pictures and always you newsletter :)
Take care my friend,
